Gracious of Kyle Ham’s master course, a point by point script and fine acting, “Reparation” serves as another case of a quality free thriller screened at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
Rancher Bob Stevens (Marc Menchaca) is battered, however never broken, man whose brain is an unpredictable jigsaw. He was first observed, by his future spouse Lucy (Virginia Newcomb), meandering lost out and about, with three years of his memory wiped clean. All that is known is that he served in the Air Force and something traumatic happened, bringing about his release. As the years pass by and they bond and begin to look all starry eyed at, Bob’s mental and enthusiastic strength gradually coagulates, turning out to be more strong and giving him the peace he craves, particularly with regards to their little girl Charlotte (a charming Dale Dye Thomas).
